Course Overview
The HeartSmart Program is designed to encourage and support Heart Safe Communities to provide immediate care for cardiac arrest patients, including recognition, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation.
The program consists of 4 modules each with an associated mini quiz. When you complete all 4 modules and mini quizzes, you will receive a Monash University Certificate of Completion.

The HeartSmart Program was developed by Victoria University, Department of Paramedicine and DefibsPlus Pty Ltd.
The HeartSmart Program is designed to provide you with the basic knowledge and confidence to help should you witness a sudden cardiac arrest. If you experience increased stress from completing this online training program or from providing CPR and defibrillation in an emergency, we encourage you to seek professional assistance from your GP, another health professional or a local support group.
